Relatively cosmopolitan and bourgeious, Bruges is beautiful from the morning till the evening.

It is charming, lovely, romantic and has many popular places of interest....and of course delicious mussels !

The cobblestones streets, the medieval buildings, the canals make Bruges unique .This beautiful city is the capital and largest city of west Flanders and is recognised by UNESCO as world heritage center since 2000.

Oosterne - fishing village in Belgium

We drove from Brugges to the coastal fishing villages and harbour town of OOSTERNE...

its pretty quiet and extremely cold !!! freezing.... we had lunch and hot chocolate and off we went...through GHENT back to Amsterdam . It was a good 3 - 4 hours easy drive.

GHENT looks really inviting and attractive, however we could not stay over as we had to return our car in HAGUE, Amsterdam the next morning.
